Widget Terms of Use
Last updated: May 2025
Calculatry calculator widgets are free to embed on any legitimate website. In exchange, we require that the "Powered by Calculatry" attribution link remain visible inside the widget at all times. Read the full terms below before embedding.
Overview
Calculatry.com ("Calculatry", "we", "our") provides free embeddable calculator widgets that website owners and developers ("Embedder", "you") may place on their own websites under the terms set out on this page.
By embedding a Calculatry widget, you agree to these Widget Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the widget code.
Permitted Uses
- ·Embedding one or more Calculatry widgets on any legitimate website, blog, landing page, or web application.
- ·Using the widgets on sites that serve educational, informational, commercial, or personal content.
- ·Embedding multiple different calculators on the same page.
- ·Resizing the widget iframe using the width and height parameters generated by the Calculatry Widget Configurator.
- ·Sharing the embed code with clients or team members for the purpose of adding the widget to their sites.
Prohibited Uses
- ·Removing, hiding, obscuring, or modifying the "Powered by Calculatry" attribution link inside the widget. The attribution is a condition of free use.
- ·Embedding widgets on sites that contain illegal content, malware, phishing pages, pirated software, or content that exploits minors.
- ·Embedding widgets on sites that promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination.
- ·Reverse-engineering, scraping, or reproducing the calculator logic, formulas, or output outside of the iframe.
- ·Using the widget in a way that misrepresents the calculator results as your own proprietary tool without attribution.
- ·Injecting JavaScript into or modifying the widget iframe content in any way.
- ·Automating requests to the widget endpoint in volumes that constitute a denial-of-service or excessive crawling.
- ·Reselling or sublicensing the widgets to third parties.
Attribution Requirement
Every Calculatry widget iframe includes a "Powered by Calculatry" link rendered on Calculatry's servers. This link is a mandatory condition of using the free widget service.
The attribution is placed inside the iframe and served from calculatry.com. Because it lives on our servers, it cannot be removed by modifying the embed code on your side.
Any attempt to hide the attribution using CSS (e.g., overflow: hidden, opacity: 0, height clipping), JavaScript DOM manipulation, or any other method is a violation of these terms and will result in access being revoked.
Access and Revocation
Calculatry reserves the right to revoke widget access for any domain that violates these terms, at any time and without prior notice.
Revocation may be applied at the network level and will cause the iframe to stop loading on the offending domain.
We do not maintain a public list of blocked domains. If you believe your domain has been blocked in error, contact us through the Contact page.
We also reserve the right to discontinue, modify, or throttle the widget service at any time for technical, commercial, or policy reasons.
Accuracy and Disclaimer
All calculators are provided for informational purposes only. Results are estimates and should not be used as the sole basis for financial, health, legal, or other professional decisions.
Calculatry does not warrant that results are error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. By embedding a Calculatry widget, you agree to include a disclaimer on your page where appropriate, directing users to consult a qualified professional.
Calculatry is not liable for any decisions made based on calculator output displayed on your site.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Widget Terms of Use at any time. The date of the last revision is shown at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the widget after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
We will not retroactively enforce materially stricter terms against existing embedders without reasonable notice where practically possible.
