Calculatry is a free online calculator hub with over 120 tools covering finance, health, math, and everyday topics. Every calculator runs directly in your browser. No downloads, no sign-up, and no fees.

Is Calculatry free to use?+

Yes, completely. Every calculator on Calculatry is free, and there are no premium tiers or paywalls. We keep the site free through advertising.

Do I need to create an account?+

No. You never need to register, sign in, or provide any personal information to use any calculator on Calculatry.

How many calculators does Calculatry have?+

Calculatry currently offers over 120 free calculators spanning four categories: Finance, Health, Math, and Everyday. We add new calculators regularly.

Which categories of calculators are available?+

Our calculators are organised into four sections: Finance (mortgage, tax, investment, retirement and more), Health (BMI, calorie, heart rate, pregnancy and more), Math (percentage, algebra, geometry, statistics and more), and Everyday (unit converter, age, date, cooking, home improvement and more).

Who operates Calculatry?+

🎯 Calculator Accuracy & Results

How accurate are the calculator results?+

Our calculators use industry-standard formulas and are designed to produce accurate estimates based on the values you enter. However, results are approximate and intended for informational purposes. Factors such as local laws, personal circumstances, or data not captured by the inputs may affect real-world outcomes.

Can I rely on calculator results for financial or medical decisions?+

Calculator results should be used as a starting point, not as professional advice. For significant financial decisions (mortgages, investments, taxes) or health-related decisions, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified professional such as a certified financial adviser, accountant, doctor, or specialist.

Why does my mortgage/loan result differ from my bank's figure?+

Lenders may apply fees, insurance products, rounding rules, or rate structures that differ from the standard PMT formula our calculator uses. Our result is a reliable baseline estimate; your lender's official quote will include their specific terms and costs.

Are the tax calculations up to date?+

Our Income Tax and Take-Home Paycheck calculators use the 2024 US federal tax brackets. State tax rates are approximate averages and may not reflect the exact marginal rates for every income level or filing situation. Tax law changes frequently; always verify figures with a tax professional or the IRS website.

Are currency exchange rates live?+

No. The Currency Converter uses approximate hardcoded exchange rates that reflect rates at the time of the last update. For real-time exchange rates, please use a live currency service such as Google Finance or XE.com.

Why do I get different results from different calculators on the internet?+

Different sites may use slightly different formulas, assumptions, or rounding methods. For example, some mortgage calculators include property tax and insurance (PITI) while others only compute principal and interest (PI). Always check what a calculator includes in its output.

The AI Assistant

What is the "Ask AI Instead" feature?+

"Ask AI Instead" is a built-in AI assistant on every calculator page. Instead of filling in form fields, you can describe your situation in plain English. For example, type "I earn $85,000 a year in Texas, what's my take-home pay?" and the AI will interpret your question and give you a personalised answer.

Is the AI assistant free?+

Yes, the AI assistant is free to use on the Calculatry website.

Is the AI always right?+

The AI assistant provides estimates and explanations based on your description, but it can make mistakes, especially with complex or ambiguous scenarios. Treat AI answers as a helpful guide, not a definitive calculation. For precision, use the calculator form and verify critical figures with a professional.

Does the AI store or remember my questions?+

No. AI queries are processed in real time and are not stored, linked to your identity, or retained after your session. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use the AI to ask general questions not related to the calculator?+

The AI assistant is contextually aware of the calculator you are on and is best suited to questions related to that tool. While you can ask related questions, it is optimised for calculator-specific help rather than general-purpose chat.

🖩 Using the Calculators

Do the calculators update results automatically?+

Yes. Every calculator on Calculatry updates results in real time as you type or change any input. There is no submit or calculate button. Just enter your values and see results instantly.

Can I copy or download my results?+

Yes. The action bar on each calculator page includes a Download button (saves results as a PNG image) and a Copy button (copies key figures to your clipboard).

What does the "Formula" section show?+

Each calculator includes a "Show the Math" section that explains the formula used, what each variable means, and how the calculation works. This is useful for students, educators, or anyone who wants to understand the maths behind the result.

What are "You Might Also Need" links?+

"You Might Also Need" is a list of related calculators shown in the sidebar of every calculator page. These are handpicked suggestions for tools that are commonly used alongside the current one. For example, the Mortgage Calculator suggests the Amortization and Refinance calculators.

Can I use Calculatry on my phone?+

Absolutely. Calculatry is fully responsive and works on any device: smartphone, tablet, or desktop. All calculators, charts, and AI features work on mobile browsers.

Does Calculatry work offline?+

Most calculators run entirely in the browser, so the calculation logic works once the page is loaded. However, the AI assistant requires an active internet connection. Full offline support is not currently available.
